Job summary

Aventura at WestPark Assisted Living is seeking a dependable Medication Technician (Med Tech) to join our assisted living team in Cincinnati. You will administer medications, support daily care needs, and work closely with nursing staff to promote resident health and comfort.

Successful candidates meet Ohio state requirements, bring attention to detail, and demonstrate a compassionate, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Must meet Ohio state requirements for Medication Technician/Medication Aide.
• Prior experience in assisted living or long-term care preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Compassionate, patient, and team-oriented approach to care.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as prescribed and in accordance with state regulations and facility policies.
• Accurately document medication administration and report any errors or concerns.
• Observe residents for changes in condition and report findings to the nurse or supervisor.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, and mobility as needed.
• Maintain medication carts, storage areas, and records in a clean and organized manner.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and team members.
