Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of state-approved Medication Technician/Medication Aide training program.
• Previous experience in assisted living or healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with self-administration of prescribed medications following the five rights.
• Document medication administration, refusals, and changes in resident condition in MAR and facility records.
• Report adverse reactions, errors, or changes in health status to supervising staff.
• Maintain accurate medication inventory, storage, labeling, and disposal per policy.
• Assist with scheduling physician orders, refills, and pharmacy communications.
• Provide daily support with ADLs and resident care as assigned.
• Monitor safety and health concerns and communicate findings to staff.
• Uphold infection control, safety and emergency policies; protect resident confidentiality.
