Job summary

The Ridge at Sterling is seeking Med Techs (Registered Medication Aides) to join our care team in Sterling, VA. You will support residents with daily living activities and ensure timely medication administration, while maintaining a safe and compassionate environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with grooming and mobility, helping with meals, monitoring vital signs, and reporting changes to the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Medication Aide in Virginia.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Med Tech.
• Must have or be able to obtain CPR certification.
• Speak, read, and understand English.
• Committed to health and safety.
• Well-organized and reliable.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (grooming, hygiene, bathing, mobility).
• Ensure residents receive medications on time.
• Lift and transfer residents as needed.
• Assist in meal preparation and serving, and report changes in eating habits.
• Record and report changes in residents' condition to supervision.
• Monitor vital signs and daily bath schedules.
• Report incidents or accidents involving residents to the supervisor.
• Respond promptly to resident requests and emergencies.
