Job summary

Licking County Aging Partners seeks a dependable driver to deliver meals to clients across the community. The role involves transporting meals, recording temperatures with an iPad, and maintaining clean delivery gear and vehicle while ensuring daily route reports are complete.

The position requires empathy for seniors and a valid Ohio driver’s license with at least two years driving experience; lifting up to 50 pounds may be needed, and adherence to health guidelines is essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to use an iPad and follow directions.
• Must have empathy for the elderly, impoverished and developmentally disabled.
• Must be in good physical health and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• May require standing for more than one hour, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, twisting, reaching above the head and stair climbing.
• Dependable transportation for meal delivery required; personal vehicle must be kept clean.

Responsibilities

• Deliver home-delivered meals to clients throughout the community.
• Transport meals to assigned recipients; complete route list and daily report; clean and return equipment as required.
• Count and turn in contributions as required.
• Assist in kitchen with packaging of hot and cold food items as required.
• Use electronic thermometer to record meal temperatures.
• Keep agency vehicles, delivery bags and equipment clean at all times.
• Understand and communicate the Meals on Wheels program mission and follow guidelines.
