Job summary

Rochester General Hospital is seeking a Mammo Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic mammography and assist radiologists, ensuring high-quality images and patient comfort. The role requires ALARA principles, strict QA, and adherence to imaging department protocols in a fast-paced environment.

You will work days, M-F 8-hour shifts with occasional weekend coverage at Riedman Health Center, Rochester NY.

Qualifications

• Two-year college degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• NYS license in Radiologic Technology or permit with licensure within six months.
• ARRT-R certification within six months of employment.
• Official transcript or enrollment verification for recent graduates.

Responsibilities

• Performs screening and diagnostic mammography procedures.
• Assists radiologists during mammographic procedures.
• Monitors image quality to comply with ACR standards.
• Maintains documentation in RIS/PACS and patient charts.
• Performs Mammography QA activities under supervision.
• Follows safety protocols and ALARA principles.
• Cleans, restocks, and prepares examination rooms daily.
• Participates in cross-training and supports imaging team.
