Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Radiological Technology program with 2 years related work experience.
• ARRT (M) (R) certification is required.
• Current WA Radiology Technologist license is required.
• WSRT recommendation is preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Equipment preparation and QA checks to ensure high-quality image production.
• Explain procedures and maintain patient comfort and identification throughout the exam.
• Operate mammography equipment and optimize protocols for diagnostic quality.
• Adhere to radiation safety policies and patient safety standards.
• Maintain exam records and archive images per departmental and licensure requirements.
• Assist physicians with stereotactic breast biopsies and respond to emergencies as needed.
