Job summary

You will support clinical care and daily operations, performing EKGs, blood draws, vital signs, and preparing patients for examinations in a close-knit office. The ideal candidate brings MA certification and prior outpatient experience, with a warm, organized, and empathetic approach to patient care.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification or MA training.
• Previous Medical Assistant experience required.
• Ability to independently perform blood draws, EKGs, vital signs.
• Experience in primary care, internal medicine, or outpatient setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on clinical duties including EKGs, blood draws, vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist the physician during visits and procedures.
• Support comprehensive physicals, wellness visits, screenings, and diagnostic testing.
• Accurately document patient information in the electronic health record.
• Maintain organized, fully stocked exam rooms and clinical supplies.
• Assist with coordinating follow-up care, referrals, testing, and patient needs.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients regarding appointments and next steps.
• Help maintain an efficient and organized daily patient schedule.
• Greet and assist patients while creating a warm, welcoming, and professional office experience.
• Answer incoming calls and help patients with scheduling and general questions.
• Assist with patient check-in and check-out.
• Maintain accurate patient records and administrative documentation.
• Work closely with Dr. Cohen and the rest of the practice team to anticipate needs and keep the office running smoothly.
• Build strong relationships with patients and contribute positively to the practice’s personalized approach to care.
