Job summary

Pacific Coast Post Acute in Salinas, CA is seeking a compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our clinical team on a part-time / on-call basis. You will provide direct nursing care, administer medications, monitor residents, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote well-being and safety.

The ideal candidate holds a California LVN license, has 2 years of SNF experience preferred, and possesses strong communication and critical-thinking skills.

Qualifications

• Current and active California LVN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of SNF experience preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with physician orders, care plans, and facility policies.
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing procedures safely and accurately.
• Monitor residents' conditions and promptly communicate significant changes to the healthcare team.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation of resident care and clinical observations.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to promote positive resident outcomes.
• Ensure resident comfort, dignity, safety, and well-being at all times.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, infection control standards, and state and federal regulations.
