Job summary

Ohio State University Physicians is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide skilled nursing services under physician supervision. Responsibilities include rooming patients, vital signs, meds, and post‑operative care while maintaining safety and infection control standards.

You will support exam procedures, document care, and coordinate lab work, ensuring high‑quality patient experiences across outpatient settings in Ohio.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of Practical Nursing.
• Current Practical Nursing License in the state of Ohio.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
• Knowledge of procedures and standards for administration of medications and patient care aids.
• Compassionate, team players focused on delivering the best care.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high‑quality patient care within the LPN scope of practice, including rooming patients, vital signs, medications and IV fluids, and collecting specimens.
• Prepare patients and exam rooms; assist providers with examinations, procedures, testing, and documentation as appropriate.
• Monitor patient conditions, report changes or adverse reactions, educate patients, and coordinate lab specimens, results and follow‑up care.
• Maintain clinical operations by sterilizing equipment, managing supplies, inventory, scheduling, and clerical tasks, adhering to safety and infection control standards.
• Demonstrate professionalism through punctuality, teamwork, communication with supervisors, ongoing skills training, and completing duties.
