Job summary

The Ohio State University Physicians, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide skilled nursing care under the direction of a physician or midlevel provider, within an outpatient setting.

The LPN will perform nursing procedures, manage patient care plans, and support a safe, therapeutic environment. A valid Ohio Practical Nursing license and compassionate team orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of Practical Nursing.
• Current Practical Nursing license in Ohio.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety and infection control standards.
• Knowledge of procedures and standards for medication administration and patient care aids.
• Compassionate, team players focused on patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality patient care within LPN scope, including rooming patients, vital signs, medications/IV fluids, treatments and specimen collection.
• Prepare patients and exam rooms; assist providers with examinations, procedures, testing and real-time documentation.
• Monitor patient conditions, report changes, educate patients within scope, coordinate labs and follow-up care.
• Maintain clinical operations by sterilizing equipment, managing supplies, supporting scheduling and clerical tasks, and adhering to safety and infection control standards.
• Demonstrate professionalism through punctuality, teamwork, communication with supervisors, ongoing skills training and duty completion.
