Job summary
Covenant Living Communities and Services in Connecticut seeks a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide direct resident care in assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care, and to monitor staff performance and care planning in line with nursing standards.
The ideal candidate is a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program, holds an active license, and has at least one year of nursing experience. A comprehensive benefits package accompanies a competitive pay range.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of licensed practical/vocational nursing.
- Current LPN/LVN license in good standing in the State.
- One year nursing experience.
Responsibilities
- Monitor staff performance and physician contact; ensure quality nursing care and proper completion of tasks.
- Provide direct patient care and nursing procedures as needed.
- Orient new LPN/LVN staff and reinforce training standards.
- Communicate observations and concerns to the Nurse Manager/Director of Nursing.
- Assist in admissions, orientation and observation of new residents and ensure accurate transcription of physician orders.
