Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and Services is seeking a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our team across assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care settings. The ideal candidate will hold an LPN/LVN license in good standing and have at least one year of nursing experience.

You will contribute to high-quality resident care, participate in orientation and training, and collaborate with the Nurse Manager and physicians to ensure optimal health outcomes for residents.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of licensed practical/vocational nursing.
• Current license in good standing as an LPN/LVN in the state.
• One year nursing experience.
• Devotion to nursing standards and professional ethics.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily nursing care and supervise nursing assistants on the unit.
• Assist in orientation and training for new LPN/LVNs and nursing assistants.
• Explain nursing procedures and support ongoing staff training.
• Communicate observations to the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing.
• Monitor residents' health and report significant changes to staff, physician, and family as needed.
• Provide direct patient care including catheter and colostomy care as appropriate.
• Participate in shift change reports to ensure accurate handover of resident information.
• Assist with admissions, orientation, and observation of new residents and ensure orders are transcribed correctly.
