Job summary

Summit Ridge Skilled Nursing in Douglas, WY is seeking an LPN to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants around the clock.

You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic resident care, participate in admissions and care planning, and support safety and quality standards in a Medicare/Medicaid certified facility.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
• A Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurse and CNAs in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies.
• Follows the nursing model to promote holistic care for residents.
• Ensures that policies and procedures are complied with by nursing personnel assigned.
• Assists in admission, discharge, and transfer of residents as required.
• Transcribes physician orders to medical records and carries out orders as written.
• Administers medications as per physicians' orders and observes for adverse effects.
