Qualifications

• Graduate of an LPN program required.
• New graduates are eligible.
• Nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• LPN license required.
• BCLS certification required.
• ACLS required for ED staff.
• PALS required in ED within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• The Licensed Practical Nurse provides nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider to patients from birth through the lifecycle using the nursing process.
• Collaborates with ancillary staff and other health care professionals to deliver quality nursing care.
• Demonstrates professional growth and accountability and applies compassionate, technologically appropriate care.

Education

Graduate of an LPN program

LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure

BCLS - Basic Life Support

ACLS if working in Emergency Department

PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support in ED
