Job summary

Cedarbrook Senior Living is seeking a dedicated LPN to join our team on site. You will participate in pre-admissions assessments, coordinate and monitor care plans, and assist with scheduling medical appointments for residents.

The role requires administering medications and communicating changes to physicians and supervisors. The position emphasizes maintaining a safe, resident-centered environment with adherence to five rights of medication administration and proper nursing documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current license in the state of Michigan.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Participates in pre-admissions assessments for potential residents.
• Reviews/revises assessments and care plans at admission, periodically per regulation, and at change in resident physical or psychosocial condition.
• Administers and documents medications in accordance to the five rights: right medication, right route, right resident, right time, and right dose.
• Provides medical treatments as ordered by physician.
• Monitors resident restorative nursing programs.
• Supervises and monitors medications for residents who self-administer.
• Observes residents and reports condition changes to physicians, health care proxies, and supervisors.
• Assists residents in scheduling medical, dental and laboratory appointments.
