Job summary

The Good Samaritan is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide professional nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting under supervision. You will demonstrate nursing knowledge and follow care plans to support residents' health and comfort.

You will administer medications and treatments, document care and outcomes, and work closely with an interdisciplinary team to address resident needs. Relevant CEUs and licensure must be maintained.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Associate degree in practical nursing preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered LPN license with State Nursing board.
• CEU and competency training requirements annually.
• IV therapy/management skills may be required in ND.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for residents in long-term care under supervision.
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care and medications.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to meet resident needs.
• Support resident education and self-care activities as appropriate.
