Job summary

The Arc of Howard County is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing services in Community Living and community-based settings for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

You will administer medications, monitor health, and support activities of daily living while guiding staff and ensuring safety, dignity, and independence for those served.

Qualifications

• Current, active Maryland LPN license in good standing.
• At least 1 year of related caregiving/CL setting experience preferred.
• Experience with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities preferred.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain.
• Willingness to travel between Community Living locations.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and nursing care per orders and plans.
• Perform routine nursing assessments and monitor health status.
• Document changes in health, vital signs, and treatments accurately.
• Provide health education and coaching to staff and clients.
• Support care plans and nursing plans within licensure scope.
• Assure confidentiality and compliance with policies and regulations.
