Job summary

Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Retirement Inc. is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care to residents.

The role involves directing STNAs, administering medications, and maintaining confidentiality while ensuring high-quality elder care. The LPN will work with the nursing team to promote residents’ well-being, participate in trainings, and communicate effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Nursing Degree from an accredited program, college or university.
• A current, unencumbered, active OHIO LPN License and current CPR.
• Experience in Point Click Care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing services to residents, promoting well-being as directed by management.
• Directs day-to-day functions of STNAs in accordance with long-term care rules and guidelines.
• Administers medications as ordered by the physician.
• Maintains confidentiality of residents' information.
• Attends all required training, in-service and staff meetings.
• Demonstrates writing, documentation, and interpersonal abilities.
