Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care under supervision of a registered nurse. The role requires knowledge from an accredited nursing program and MD-LPN licensure, with preferred 1 year of acute care experience.

The nurse will gather patient data, contribute to care planning, administer medications, educate patients and families, and document outcomes in the medical record while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited nursing program and be licensed as a Practical Nurse in Maryland.
• Knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
• One-year acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in gathering data to assess patients' physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs.
• Collaborate with registered nurses and interdisciplinary team in care planning at admission.
• Review and update care plans; provide input on revisions.
• Support direct patient care using clinical nursing skills and judgment.
