Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse in our hospital setting in Baltimore, MD.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited school of nursing, current Maryland LPN license, CPR (not required for Hospice), and 1 year of acute care experience preferred. Responsibilities include data gathering, care planning, medication administration, patient education, and reporting to the RN.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of nursing theory and practice acquired through an accredited school of nursing.
• Maryland LPN licensure and CPR certification requirements as applicable.
• One-year acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in gathering data to assess patients' physical, psychological and social needs.
• Collaborates with the RN and team in planning for patient needs at admission.
• Reviews care plans and contributes to updates and revisions.
• Provides direct patient care using nursing skills and judgment; documents outcomes.
