Job summary

Louisiana Veterans Homes in Monroe, LA is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to provide quality nursing care to residents at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Home. You will implement portions of the care plan, administer medications, monitor residents, and document in medical records under supervision.

This position offers a day shift with competitive starting rates and shift differentials. A current Louisiana LPN license or multi-state license via NLC/eNLC is required;

Qualifications

• Active Louisiana Practical Nurse license or multi-state NLC/eNLC license.
• Ability to observe and report changes in residents' condition.
• Competence in medication administration and nursing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Observe residents for changes in physical or mental status and report significant changes.
• Prepare and administer medications and treatments per policy.
• Transcribe orders and document patient condition in medical records.
• Apply dressings and other treatments and document procedures.
