Job summary

Promises/Washburn House in Worcester, Massachusetts is seeking a Cook to prepare and serve meals for clients in our behavioral health program. The role emphasizes dietary compliance and strict sanitation practices.

You will help maintain cleanliness and adhere to HACCP guidelines, while supporting compassionate care teams. Schedule includes various shifts with Sunday through Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday; pay ranges from $18 to $21 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience with culinary equipment operation and food preparation.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations for food handling and storage.
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality and privacy.
• Strong communication and decision-making abilities.
• Basic understanding of addiction/recovery and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Prepares daily meals within established menu parameters.
• Serves daily meals to clients.
• Washes dishes, pots, pans and utensils as required.
• Maintains kitchen sanitation including floors and areas.
• Adheres to HACCP guidelines; keeps work areas clean.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
