Job summary

Aura Care Group is seeking a Laundry Attendant for a nursing home/long-term care facility. You will sort, wash, dry, and fold residents’ clothing and linens; deliver clean laundry to resident rooms; maintain the laundry area; and operate washers and dryers while adhering to infection control guidelines and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, and fold residents’ clothing, bedding, towels, and facility linens.
• Follow infection control and sanitation guidelines to prevent the spread of illness.
• Handle soiled laundry safely, including items contaminated with bodily fluids.
• Operate and maintain commercial washers, dryers, and laundry equipment.
• Label and organize residents’ personal clothing to ensure proper return.
• Deliver clean laundry to resident rooms and nursing units in a timely manner.
• Inspect linens and clothing for stains, damage, or wear and rewash or report as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room.
• Monitor inventory of linens and report shortages or supply needs.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of chemicals and PPE.
