Yona is hiring a Laundry Aide in Matawan, New Jersey. The role supports residents, visitors, and coworkers by handling laundry operations in a clean, organized environment. Experience is preferred but not required, with a focus on reliable, compassionate service.

You will operate washing machines and dryers, manage linen inventory, and maintain tidy laundry areas while following all safety and company policies. The position emphasizes customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc
• Ability to work independently
• Possess flexibility, integrity, and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively with residents and personnel
• Laundry experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Transports laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts
• Operates commercial washing machines and dryers
• Sorts and loads soiled linen into washers and loads clean, wet linens into dryers
• Proceeds to fold clean, dry linen and place into clean carts
• Keeps accurate records of linen inventory
• Washes, dries, folds and distributes customer clothing
• Maintains equipment and the laundry areas, cleans and keeps areas neat, orderly and safe
• Follows all company policies and procedures
• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs
• Delivers laundry as specified
• Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere
