Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures, finger sticks, and heel sticks by patient age.
• Accepts specimens and manages add-ons and pending orders.
• Identifies patients and specimens using two identifiers and labels containers.
• Registers specimens in the LIS and documents required data.
• Performs specimen processing and required documentation per protocols.
• Supports safe lab operations and efficient workflow practices.
• Operates LIS proficiently to ensure accurate data entry.
• Restocks supplies and participates in department projects.
