Job summary

Animal Care Center in Princeton is seeking a Kennel Attendant to maintain the health and comfort of hospitalized and boarding pets while supporting the veterinary team. You’ll keep the hospital clean, organized, and welcoming, and provide compassionate care during each pet’s stay.

The role involves daily animal care, safe transport within the facility, and collaboration with veterinarians and staff to ensure smooth hospital operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in kennel/animal care/boarding preferred.
• Commitment to cleanliness, safety, and compassionate animal care.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle animals up to 130 pounds.
• Comfortable with standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for long periods.
• Professional, neat appearance consistent with hospital standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for boarded animals: feeding, watering, walking, bathing, monitoring health and behavior.
• Transport animals between kennels, exam rooms, and lobby with gentle handling.
• Assist veterinarians and technicians with restraint, positioning, and minor procedures as directed.
• Follow feeding, medication, and exercise instructions for boarding pets.
• Monitor health/behavior changes and report to kennel leadership promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kennels, runs, and facility areas.
