Job summary

MaineTouch LLC is seeking Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to provide in-home non-medical care to adults and seniors, promoting safety, independence and comfort.

As a PSS, you will perform personal care tasks, assist with mobility, light housekeeping, meal prep, and companionship, while following care plans and documenting activities. Training is provided; no prior experience required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years of age.
• Active PSS certification in the State of Maine, OR willingness to enroll in a PSS training program within 60 days of hire.
• CNA (active or inactive) accepted.
• No experience required - training and support provided

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, and basic hygiene.
• Support clients with mobility and transfers, including safe movement with or without mobility aids.
• Help with household tasks related to care, including light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, and changing bed linens.
• Assist with meal preparation, meal serving, grocery shopping, and errands as outlined in the care plan.
• Provide companionship and conversation and support daily routines or hobbies.
• Observe and report changes in a client's condition or safety concerns to your supervisor.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines during all client interactions.
• Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and MaineTouch policies
