Job summary

Serenity at Heart in Greensboro, NC is seeking reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide compassionate, non-medical in-home care. You will assist clients with daily living activities, mobility, meals, and medication reminders while promoting dignity and independence.

Ideal candidates have prior home care experience, CPR certification, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication skills. Training and a supportive team environment are offered to ensure safe, respectful care.

Qualifications

• Experience in home care, long-term care, behavioral health or similar setting.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass background screening.
• Current TB screening.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, dependable, and compassionate demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical in-home care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Assist with toileting and incontinence care.
• Assist mobility and transfers; provide Hoyer lift assistance if trained.
• Meal preparation and feeding support.
• Light housekeeping related to client care.
• Provide medication reminders as permitted.
• Support client goals and independence.
• Assist with community outings and appointments.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition.
• Maintain accurate documentation.
