Job summary

The Batesville Area Chamber is seeking a Home Care Assistant to support seniors and disabled clients under RN assessment and supervisor guidance. Responsibilities include assisting with tasks per the client care plan in home settings.

Role requires PCA or CNA certification, valid driver’s license, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Compliance with confidentiality, training requirements, and policy manuals is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to perform the work assigned.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Must wear back-belt as described in the policy manual.
• Ability to read, write and carry out directions.
• Must provide own transportation.
• Maintain at least "satisfactory" competency evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Performs In-Home Services duties as assigned by the care plan.
• Arrives at client homes per schedule and documents service delivery.
• Report schedule changes or issues to local office promptly.
• Adhere to ethics and confidentiality rules.
• Complete required in-service trainings (12 hours yearly).
• Follow policy manuals and procedures.
