Job summary

White River Area Agency on Aging Inc. seeks a Home Care Assistant to support seniors in their homes under RN Assessor guidance and supervision. You will assist clients with tasks per their care plan and help ensure safe, respectful home care delivery.

Responsibilities include timely arrivals, documentation of visits, training compliance, and reporting issues to the local office. Must hold PCA or CNA certification and a valid driver’s license; be able to lift 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must be certified as a Personal Care Aide or Certified Nurse’s Aide/Assistant.
• Current automobile liability coverage required by state law.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Must pass background checks (state and federal).
• PCA certification training may be waived with prior related experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform in‑home services per the care plan.
• Arrive/depart clients’ homes per schedule; document visits.
• Report schedule changes or absences to local office.
• Participate in required trainings; complete 12 hours yearly in‑service.
• Adhere to policies and confidentiality in the In‑Home Services Handbook.
