Job summary

Quality First Healthcare Services in Atlanta, GA is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide to provide in-home care, assist with ADLs, monitor health, and offer emotional support to help clients maintain independence.

Responsibilities include personal care, mobility support, meal prep, light housekeeping, medication reminders, transportation to appointments, and health changes reporting. Certification and CPR/First Aid are required; on-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• Certification: Valid Home Health Aide (HHA) certification as mandated by state guidelines.
• Health & Safety: Valid CPR/First Aid certification, clear background check, and negative TB test.
• Transit: Reliable transportation, active driver's license, and auto insurance (if transporting clients).
• Soft Skills: High level of patience, empathy, active listening, and strong communication skills.
• Entry-Level (Most Common): No prior experience required. Must hold a valid Home Health Aide (HHA) certification. Will provide on-the-job training.
• Preferred Experience: 6 months to 1 year of experience in home care, caregiving, or a healthcare facility preferred but not required.
• Specialized Care Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience required (often for advanced needs).

Responsibilities

• Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and basic hygiene.
• Mobility Support: Support transfers, walking, and light physical exercise safely.
• Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary plans and restrictions.
• Light Housekeeping: Perform light cleaning, laundry, dishwashing, and changing bed linens.
• Medication Reminders: Provide timely prompts for medication self-administration.
• Transportation & Outings: Accompany clients to medical appointments and grocery shopping.
• Health Monitoring: Track physical and mental changes, reporting issues to supervisors or family members.
