Job summary

Right at Home in Wahoo, Nebraska, is seeking a compassionate Homemaker/Companion to support seniors and adults with disabilities in their own homes. The role includes companionship, light homemaking, and assisting with daily activities in a community-based setting.

You’ll provide dependable, respectful care, help with errands and transport to appointments, and contribute to a positive, supportive work environment. Training and ongoing development are available.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and understand English.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to safely operate a vehicle.
• Willing to travel to appointments outside of town.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and assist with homemaking activities (vacuuming, dusting, laundry, etc.).
• Spend time with clients during activities and accompany them on walks or social events.
• Assist with meal preparation and grocery runs as needed.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive home-care environment for clients.
