Job summary

Homewatch CareGivers of New Haven & THE SHORELINE is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to provide in-home support across New Haven County. You will assist with daily living activities, accompany clients to appointments, and help maintain a safe, comfortable home environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of PCA or related experience, owns a vehicle, and can travel to multiple towns including New Haven, Branford, Guilford and Madison.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of PCA, caregiver, home health aide, or related healthcare experience.
• Must own a reliable vehicle with valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Ability to travel between client locations in New Haven County.
• Negative TB test result within the past 24 months.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism.
• Must be dependable, compassionate and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping
• Monitor and report changes in client condition
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients
• Follow care plans and agency policies
• Document services provided accurately and timely
