Job summary

AmeriCARE High Plains is seeking a part-time caregiver to provide in-home care, with potential progression to full-time as the company grows. Responsibilities include personal care, companionship, respite care, post-operative support, and dementia care across clients in Colorado.

The role emphasizes continuous communication about client well-being, with use of real-time tracking via a company smartphone. A clean driver’s license is beneficial as insurance is provided by the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CPR/First Aid may be required.
• Dementia care training or related specialized training is a plus.
• Background check with references required; regular training provided per Colorado rules.

Responsibilities

• ProvidePersonal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal prep.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in conversations and light tasks.
• Provide respite care to support family caregivers.
• Support post-operative recovery and medication management.
• Deliver dementia-specific care focusing on safety and QoL.
