Job summary

Vertical Home Health is seeking a compassionate home health aide to join our growing team in Indiana. The right candidate provides personal hygiene assistance, meal planning, mobility help, and daily living support in a one-on-one setting.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and availability for nights/weekends. We offer a supportive work environment with benefits and incentives for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year healthcare/in-home care experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every day.
• Available to work nights and/or weekends.
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.
• Comfortable working in a one-on-one setting.
• Able to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
• Strong compassionate and supportive demeanor.
• Take pride in providing high quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Remind clients to take prescribed medication
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Plan and prepare meals
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary
