Job summary

Agape At Home in Florence, AZ is seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide non-medical in-home support to clients in the community. You will help maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life in clients' homes.

Our mission is to connect compassionate caregivers with clients who need quality, reliable support. Pay is $16.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on knowledge, skills, abilities and experience, with weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in home health, senior care, assisted living, or long-term care preferred.
• Knowledge of first aid, CPR, HIPAA regulations, and patient monitoring essential.
• Familiarity with caregiving tasks such as meal preparation, medication administration, and cleaning duties.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience working with people with disabilities or developmental challenges is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when required and assist with mobility.
• Compassionate, patient, and understanding towards clients' needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide personal care including mobility assistance and transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
• Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client health status.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning and tidying of the home.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
• Support clients with memory care, including those with Alzheimer's or dementia, through patient observation and tailored activities.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement effective care strategies for individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
