Job summary

S & S Home Health Care Agency is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) to join our in-home care team in New Jersey. You will assist clients with daily living activities, provide companionship, and support independence within the comfort of clients’ homes.

The role emphasizes personal care, mobility support, light housekeeping, and documenting client status while adhering to care plans. CPR/First Aid is preferred and reliable transportation is expected.

Qualifications

• Certified HHA or equivalent training as required by state regulations.
• CPR/First Aid certification (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.).
• Perform light housekeeping duties and meal preparation.
• Monitor and report changes in client health, behavior, and needs.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Follow care plans and maintain accurate client records.

Education
