Job summary

S & S Home Health Care Agency in New Jersey is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) to join our in-home care team. You will support clients with daily living activities to maintain independence in their own homes.

The role emphasizes personal care, mobility assistance, light housekeeping, meal prep, and emotional support, while following care plans and documenting client changes. CPR/First Aid is preferred, and reliable transportation is important.

Qualifications

• Certified HHA or equivalent training as required by state regulations.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy and a desire to help others.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.).
• Perform light housekeeping duties and meal preparation.
• Monitor and report changes in client health, behavior, and needs.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Follow care plans and maintain accurate client records.
