Job summary

Always Best Care is seeking a Direct Care Worker to assist clients in their homes, focusing on daily living activities, safety, and emotional support. You will provide companionship, monitor well-being, and help with routines and basic care tasks.

The role emphasizes compassion, dependability, and professionalism, with requirements for a TB/PPD test, background check, and references. Every other weekend work is required as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with adults (18+) in a home setting preferred.
• English proficiency and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field and with different personality types.
• Three references required.
• TB/PPD test within last year and pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Daily routine care (feeding, grooming and bathing).
• Light shopping.
• Light housekeeping.
• Conversing with the client to provide assurance.
• Meal preparation and clean up.
• Report incidents, complaints, and concerns to the agency promptly.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
