Job summary

Always Best Care Senior Services is seeking Direct Care Workers to assist clients in their own homes, providing routine care and companionship in a professional, compassionate manner.

The role involves adapting to each client’s plan of care, performing activities of daily living, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and timely reporting of concerns. Applicants should have a high school diploma, English proficiency, and the ability to work independently; CNA/HHA/BLS certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with seniors in a home setting preferred.
• English proficiency and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field.
• Ability to work with different personality types in a professional manner.
• Three references required.
• Proof of clear TB/PPD test taken within the last year.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• CNA, HHA, and BLS/CPR certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Daily routine care (feeding, grooming and bathing).
• Light shopping.
• Light housekeeping.
• Conversing with the client to provide assurance.
• Meal preparation and cleanup.
• Reporting any incidents, complaints, and/or concerns to the agency immediately.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
