Job summary

University of Vermont Health Network Home Health & Hospice seeks a Personal Care Attendant to support clients in their homes with non-medical care, including dressing, bathing, grooming, housekeeping, meal planning and transportation.

The role is full-time with a day shift (7:30 AM - 5:00 PM), located in Colchester, VT. Requires a high school diploma and PCA training; English literacy and reliable transportation are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Complete PCA training program (1 day for experienced recruits or full PCA training).
• Must pass PCA coursework and exam.
• Must speak/read/write English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with dressing, bathing and personal hygiene.
• Provide light housekeeping and meal planning.
• Assist with toileting and mobility.
• Provide transportation and accompany to appointments.
• Communicate changes to supervisor and document care.
• Maintain client safety and confidentiality.
