Visiting Angels Des Moines provides non-medical in-home care for seniors and adults with disabilities across Des Moines, West Des Moines, Urbandale, Grimes, Johnston, Clive, Norwalk, Pleasant Hill and Altoona. One of our caregivers joined us after years serving elderly and disabled Iowans and found a new way to help here.

You’ll work alone in clients’ homes, perform personal care tasks with respect and dignity, follow care plans, and build meaningful connections.

Qualifications

• Respect clients’ dignity while assisting with personal care
• Demonstrate patience when days are challenging
• Ability to work independently while following a care plan

Responsabilités

• Help clients with bathing, dressing, toileting and grooming
• Support independence by assisting without taking over
• Assist with mobility and fall prevention
• Prepare meals, provide medication reminders, and perform light housekeeping
• Run errands and help clients get to appointments
• Care for clients living with Alzheimer's, dementia, Parkinson's and other conditions
