Job summary

Preferred Care at Home of Des Moines, Ankeny, and Urbandale is seeking experienced caregivers to join our in-home care team in Ankeny. You will provide compassionate one-on-one care in clients’ homes, assist with activities of daily living, mobility, and safety, and offer companionship to seniors.

We offer immediate full-time work, on-the-spot interviews, weekly pay, flexible scheduling when available, and supportive office staff to help you make a meaningful difference every day.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional caregiving experience preferred.
• CNA, HHA, PCA, or equivalent caregiving experience welcomed.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (if driving clients).
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate one-on-one care in clients' homes.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care.
• Help with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention.
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Medication reminders.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition.
