Job summary

Amivie is seeking a Personal Care Attendant to provide ADL and IADL support in clients' homes in North Carolina as outlined in each care plan. The role follows agency policies, reports any health or schedule deviations, and works under RN supervision to ensure quality, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• Criminal history check in line with 6.0 Clinical Coverage Policy 3L.
• No finding on the North Carolina Health Care Registry per G.S.131E256.
• Experience in Home and Community Based Services is preferred.
• Current Tb Skin Test.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Desire to help those at home.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Have reliable transportation and proof of current automobile insurance.
• Ability to demonstrate competence providing assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all policies and procedures of the employer manual.
• Provide services as assigned by the RN Field Supervisor according to the care plan.
• Report deviations in the individual’s condition to agency personnel.
• Provide ADLs/IADLs per care plan (e.g., bathing, dressing, mobility, toileting, eating; cooking, cleaning, shopping, transportation, escort).
• Be present for supervisory visits and accurately report time/attendance.
• Notify office of planned absences and follow EVV/timekeeping requirements.
• Do not negotiate tasks or schedule changes directly with the individual; inform the office for alterations.
• Dress professionally and wear nametag; use PPE as required.
• Advocate for individuals needing other community services or higher care.
