Job summary

Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC is seeking a part-time Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe environment in a long-term care facility. You will clean resident rooms, common areas, and support staff by performing dusting, mopping, vacuuming, restroom sanitation, trash disposal, and linen changes.

The role requires reliability, ability to stand for long periods, and good communication with staff. Schedule is Wednesdays and Fridays 6am–2pm with on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform day-to-day housekeeping tasks as assigned within a long-term care setting.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Good communication with staff and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.
• 18 years or older.
• Prefer experience in medical facility housekeeping.
• Maintain tactfulness and confidentiality with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned.
• Follow daily work assignments for specific tasks.
• Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, and surfaces in resident rooms and common areas.
• Sanitize bathrooms and remove watermarks on fixtures.
• Clean windows, mirrors, floors, carpets, and walls; disinfect surfaces.
• Dispose of waste and keep areas clean and safe; store equipment properly.
• Coordinate isolation cleaning with nursing care when needed.
• Report hazardous conditions to supervisor and follow fire safety policies.
