Job summary

Avamere Rogue Valley is seeking a part-time Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents and staff in our long-term care facility. You will clean resident rooms, common areas, and perform routine housekeeping duties per daily assignments.

The ideal candidate has experience with cleaning methods and equipment, can stand for long periods, work well with others, and communicate effectively with staff. 18+ and confidentiality required.

Qualifications

• Experience with various cleaning methods and equipment.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to communicate with staff and follow instructions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.
• 18 years or older.
• Prefer experience working in housekeeping in a medical facility.
• Maintain tactful composure and confidentiality with residents, family members, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned.
• Perform tasks per daily work assignments.
• Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges in resident areas.
• Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures.
• Clean windows/mirrors in resident rooms and common areas.
• Clean floors and carpets, including mopping and vacuuming.
• Remove dirt and disinfect surfaces; dispose of waste daily.
• Coordinate routine isolation cleaning with nursing care when needed.
