Responsibilities

• Transport patients and secure IVs, drainage tubes, etc., and secure patient.
• Use wheelchairs and other approved rolling stock for duties.
• Demonstrates competency in transporting all age groups.
• Ensures safe, timely and accurate transport of patients to their destinations.
• Communicates with nursing staff, clinicians, technicians or dispatch.
• Maintains patient comfort and privacy; avoids unnecessary conversation and never transports patients in severe pain.
