Job summary

VITAS Healthcare in Kendall, FL seeks an experienced Home Hospice RN to ensure patient comfort and compassionate care in patients' homes. You will lead with dignity, collaborating with families to support end-of-life goals.

You'll perform 4–6 daily visits, participate in weekly interdisciplinary team meetings, and exercise autonomous bedside decision-making while upholding VITAS standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located.
• Minimum of two years nursing experience in hospice, home health, or community health in the last five years.
• Equivalent experience or licensure may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospice care to patients in their homes and with the interdisciplinary team.
• Make 4–6 patient visits per day.
• Meet weekly with the interdisciplinary team (social workers, physicians, chaplains, and nurses) to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain patient welfare and carry out care decisions with compassion and dignity.
