Greater Baltimore Medical Center is seeking a skilled nurse to provide compassionate care to patients with life-limiting illnesses and to support their families. The role involves coordinating with the care team, evaluating responses, and teaching families infection control and self-care techniques.

The position emphasizes adherence to GBMC values, collaboration with diverse professionals, and ensuring high-quality outcomes for patients during challenging times.

Formación

• ADN and/or BSN from an accredited institution.
• Two years of nursing experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current MD registered nursing license.
• Maintain current nursing license.

Responsabilidades

• Provides quality nursing care to patients with life-limiting illness and coordinates care with the primary physician.
• Participates with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement an individualized plan of care.
• Evaluates patient/family response to intervention and updates the care plan; educates on skills to maintain quality care.
• Documents accurately in patient charts and forms to provide a clear record of the inpatient course.
• Contributes to Quality Improvement programs to enhance patient care quality.
• Provides direction to Patient Care Partners and volunteers to maintain a therapeutic environment.
• Completes daily acuity assessments for assigned patients.
• Attends to patient and family at the time of patient death.
