Job summary

Apploi is seeking a Board Certified Music Therapist (or eligible) to provide music therapy services in a hospice setting in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role contracted or employed reports to the Clinical Manager and requires a degree in music therapy, state licensure, and CPR certification.

The Music Therapist will assess patients, develop individualized care plans, direct therapy sessions, document progress, and educate families.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in music therapy approved by an accredited organization.
• Must be licensed to practice music therapy in the state.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a music therapist; Hospice/community experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Must understand hospice philosophy with focus on comfort.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provides music therapy services to patients according to a written plan of care.
• Assessing and evaluating therapeutic status and contributing to the total plan of care.
• Directing music therapy treatment and prioritizing therapy needs.
• Prepare and submit clinical progress summaries; provide family/caregiver education as needed.
• Participate in case conferences and interdisciplinary team discussions.
• Engage in quality improvement activities and hospice orientation for team members.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing hospice team activities.
